Outpatient Prospective Payment System (OPPS) Audit Auditrax performs comprehensive clinical audits of patient charts from your Outpatient departments. This audit will focus on the accuracy of APC & CPT coding; adherence to Medicare rules & regulations; as well as the capture of documented, but unbilled, services. Many hospitals bill for what was used to provide patient care; we also help you identify charges and collect for what was done for the patient to provide that care. Auditrax OPPS auditors have national certification in coding and compliance – experts in both clinical and coding issues with extensive hospital experience. Auditrax will work with hospital staff to assure changes in billing and coding are in compliance with Medicare rules and regulations, and will assist as the client begins the re-billing process based upon our revised recommendations. Auditrax will help you recover those identified and unbilled dollars. This OPPS audit service is at our risk – there is no fee if we do not find recoverable cash revenue. All revenue going forward belongs to you.
Managed Care Recovery Program Our Managed Care Recovery Program is a proven process for collecting money from MCO’s through review and audit of hospital zero balance accounts. Again, there is no financial risk to the hospital. Auditrax fees are only paid if dollars are recovered – all dollars are returned directly to the hospital, along with a complete set of written documentation and support information for tracking the success of the Auditrax recovery program. Auditrax performs this audit as a retrospective review of each and every MCO account for the past 27 months. As an on-going process, we will review each account following the hospital staff’s usual procedures for zero balancing. Auditrax will review payments for compliance to contractual arrangements, make sure claims were submitted to the proper payors, review denied claims for validity and procedural acceptance, and assist with the recovery of any under payments as needed. Accounts Payable System Audit and Recovery Auditrax is a leader in the field of Accounts Payable Audit and Recovery. We have historically recovered between 1/10th of 1% to 3% of our client’s purchases through our audit of their A/P systems. Our highly experienced audit team will use their expertise and our proprietary software and systems to analyze electronic accounts payable data to identify dollars erroneously paid to vendors. Our process is designed to be as non-intrusive as possible to your organization, with a majority of our work done off site. Only after a thorough analysis of the data will we schedule a visit to your location to validate our detailed analysis. We come in with a “mission specific” list of tasks to complete – we spend on the time necessary at your location to complete our processes. We will analyze your records to identify these erroneous payments, and work with your vendors to recover these dollars. At the conclusion of the audit, Auditrax will provide a summary report of the audit, called AuditPlus, detailing our findings and providing recommendations for improvements.
